The {un}Official Cookie of Christmas – Cranberry White Chocolate Chip Cookies

cranberry white chocolate cookies

I came across this recipe a few years ago and decided to try it out one Christmas as a gift to my husband’s customers. After one bite, my family declared it the Official Cookie of Christmas! The red cranberries, the chunks of white chocolate, and the scent of orange in the air when they come out of the oven make for a wonderful holiday tradition.

Since we always have a pile of clementines in the fruit basket this time of year, we use clementine zest instead of orange to make them even more festive. If you share these cookies, be prepared to hand out the recipe. Or keep it a secret family recipe, I won’t tell. ;) We hope our Christmas favorite becomes your Christmas favorite!

In large mixing bowl, cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.

Mix in eggs, vanilla, and clementine zest.

Add the dry mix to the butter mix a little at time.

Add in the drained cranberries and white chocolate chips.

Scoop one-inch balls on a cookie sheet and bake at 375° F for 9-12 minutes until the edges are light brown.
