We have a new team member who has come on board to provide a FREE Monthly Meal Plan for all of our wonderful readers! Welcome Jennifer Boom to the team!

Her lovely meal plan for July includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner ideas as well as suggestions for morning and afternoon snacks. In addition, she provides tips to make meal prep days easier for the week! Be sure to share with other families you know that can benefit from this amazing resource!

      Hey, Heather! For pancakes, we use Hodgson Mill’s Whole Wheat Buttermilk Pancake Mix (or sometimes their Buckwheat pancake mix). I’m going to type out the instructions that are found right on the box for you.
      “To Freeze: Wrap in foil or freezer bags removing as much air as possible. Freeze.
      To Reheat in Oven: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place frozen pancakes in a single layer on an ungreased cookie sheet and cover tightly with foil. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
      To Reheat in Microwave: Remove frozen pancakes from freezer wrap. Stack 3 high on microwave-safe plate. Leave uncovered and microwave on high 1 1/4-1 1/2 mins. or until hot.”

      I’ve used both methods, depending on how much time we have. I’ve never made “just enough” pancakes for the morning. I like to work smarter, not harder, by AT LEAST doubling my recipes. Ps-I also use the oven or microwave methods for waffles, which I make from scratch.

    Thank you so much! I always need ideas and help with menu planning :) If I don’t menu plan we eat out to often and that is not very friendly on the ol’ pocket book.

      You’re welcome, Tawny! I know what you mean about eating out too often with no meal plan. It’s a lot of work to plan out all the meals, but definitely helps the budget! I hope you’re able to just use my plan to save you all the work! :)
